Could YOU Be Mystery Heir?

COUNCIL chiefs are hunting missing descendants of a local landowner who may be entitled to thousands of pounds - could it be you?
So far, they have been unable to trace relatives of a landowner who died in 1931 leaving behind the titles to his property.
But now the council needs to buy the land if it is to allow its tenants to buy houses which are built there.

EXCLUSIVE - IRVINE SCHOOLS SAVED

IN an astonishing meeting on Tuesday all of the Irvine schools threatened with closure were saved.
Tense parents arrived at Cunninghame House to await the verdict of the future of Towerlands and John Galt Primary Schools, with Springside all but secured.
Many had believed that John Galt would be the one school of the three to be doomed to closure.
However, in an neck-and-neck vote the Vineburgh school was saved after Provost Bobby Rae made his casting vote count.

NAC deny Equal Pay delay tactics

COUNCIL bosses have denied that they have been sticking their heads in the sand over equal pay.
Equal Pay campaigner Mark Irvine claims that North Ayrshire Council have been using delay tactics in order to stall the process.

We know where you live

THE HORRIFIED parents of gang-fighting teens have been visited as part of a police crackdown on youth disorder.
And large numbers of officers on bikes and foot patrols have helped officers gleam information about the gang culture in Kilwinning.
Now police say the problem of gang fighting in the area has been almost eliminated.
And their new-found knowledge means they are ready to stop any new trouble before it escalates.
As one officer said: “If it kicks off again we know where to go.”
